About Physics Alumni of Aalto University

Physics Alumni of Aalto University is a growing alumni association for graduates of the Engineering Physics and Mathematics degree program at Aalto University, including its predecessors and successors, and the Quantum Technology program. Our members include Bachelor’s, Master’s, Licentiate, and Doctor of Science graduates.

Within the Alumni association, you can reconnect with old friends and meet new acquaintances, all sharing a common background in studies. Physics Alumni offers a chance to network with like-minded people. For students and recent graduates, it provides an opportunity to hear experiences from older alumni about working life, easing the transition from studies to work.

Reference groups for the Alumni include The Guild of Physics, the departments of Engineering Physics and Mathematics at Aalto University, and other Aalto Alumni associations. Through the alumni network, you can receive information about the Engineering Physics and Mathematics study program and influence its future direction.

Alumni functions

As an association, the Alumni aims to fulfill its goals by:

• organizing meetings, corporate excursions, and other visits, as well as social networking events
• helping new members get acquainted with the professional community
• maintaining contact with the Guild of Physics and its members, other professional organizations of the field, and corporations
• granting diplomas and providing aid in accordance with the association’s goals, when applicable
